Support for Communities

Apart form the schools it runs,
the Dr. D. Abraham Educational and Charitable Trust is also concerned with the welfare of other underprivileged communities and has been a great help to many needy people.

It provides financial aid to children whose parents cannot afford to pay for their higher (college) studies.

It regularly distributes clothes and blankets to people in poverty and leper communities.

Winter Relief Work 2020

The winter of 2020 was especially harsh for many, given the pandemic situation and resulting economic plight. The organisation had the privilege of spreading warmth, particularly among the migrant community, many of who are daily wage labourers. Below are some pictures of us distributing sweaters to their children, in Gharhi Pul and Shanti Nagar areas of Ludhiana.

 
 

Covid-19 Relief Work 2020

The organisation undertook the responsibility of supplying groceries and daily needs to many communities in dire need of help, such as migrant daily-wage labourers, slum dwellers & leprosy colonies, during the ‘Lockdown’ period in Punjab (India).
